Nicolas will focus his PhD on the concept development of a combined lifecycle sustainability optimization (LCSO) approach for the early product development stages of heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs). He is part of the Christian-Doppler Laboratory, cooperating with AVL List GmbH for this task.
Nicolas, born in Basel (CH), completed his master's degree in Sustainable Development at the University of Graz in 2019. Subsequently, he started working for Strateco OG, first as project assistant and soon as manager, handling research and consulting obligations concerning lifecycle assessments (LCAs) and environmentally preferable solutions for products, services, and organizations. He is also very interested in overall sustainability and how to operationalize these so far highly sophisticated concepts. Hence, he is eager to contribute to specific implementation pathways and testing them on real use cases. In his private life, Nicolas enjoys cooking, cycling, and having friends over for movie and game nights.
