The Christian Doppler Society
The Christian Doppler Society promotes cooperation between outstanding scientists and innovative companies. The cooperation takes place in Christian Doppler Laboratories and in Josef Ressel Centers. Christian Doppler Laboratories conduct application-oriented basic research at universities or non-university research institutions and Josef Ressel Centers conduct research in a comparable manner at universities of applied sciences.
In Christian Doppler Laboratories, application-oriented basic research is carried out at a high level, with outstanding scientists cooperating with innovative companies. The Christian Doppler Research Association is internationally regarded as a best practice example for the promotion of this cooperation. Christian Doppler Laboratories are jointly funded by the public sector and the participating companies. The most important public funding body is the Federal Ministry for Digitization and Economic Location (BMDW).
